I suggest you have if not already visit other farms as mentioned to give you some ideas. If you have a flat farm like me I found it easier to have all things together, but water farms and steep farms can be a bit harder to organise but if you remember where things are should be ok. As previously mentioned, it depends on which farm you choose to how it can be organised. Because there are so many different amounts of eg animals, crops etc I found it hard to remember where everything was when it came to quests. I started off wanting a large farm, I visited many farms and decided being so organized that I needed everything fairly much together.
